----As a general disclaimer, I will remind you as the reader that these essays will all be related back to faith and science and how both hold a tremendous amount of beauty and majesty within themselves. But it's when we begin to tread outside of those realms that we begin to lose our way. Such is just how culture has always worked, and how our enemy down below has manipulated us and warped almost everything that is good in the world. It is nothing more than the age old argument of questioning society's moral compass, and the involvement of our eternal enemy. I will give you a subject, and provide you with my personal means to produce thought…it is your job as a human with free will, to purge ignorance from your opinion. The same ignorance that has led this world to its rusted moral compass. Whether you believe in a higher power or not, we all believe in evil.----

It is easily seen that in today's world, much has changed over the years, especially in regards to how western culture views sexuality. When you turn on your TV, you are likely to see one of many things, but to much of an extent, almost everything is somehow related back to sex. When one logs onto their computer, and goes to Google to look something up, how easy is it to eventually stumble upon something that happens to be pornographic or just moderately inappropriate? Think about it, you can hardly even type in the word "hot" when attempting to, in my case, look for something for my notes for my atmospheric science class, without being put at risk of finding God knows what...But I digress. I could take time to provide you with statistics and studies…but the purpose of these essays is to make you, the reader, think for yourself. Seek out information on your own terms, but remember that ignorance is everywhere regardless of technology or reason.

Many seem to believe that pornography is the source of all these problems. It isn't just porn, but also various forms of fashion, cinema, modern "literature" and pop music. Porn, in reality, is nothing more than just another way to corrupt the beauty of human sexuality. Sex and the human body are beautiful things designed by God, but the enemy knows this and warps our perception of it through these different yet commonplace areas of "entertainment". We must remind ourselves that sex is a physical art as well as the mental expression of love that should never be tampered with and that our bodies, whether in regards to science or faith, are incredibly and beautifully designed machines that deserve respect and proper treatment. That's why to me there is a fine line between artistic nudity such as statues, paintings and forms of photography that are meant to show the actual purity of the human physique and then the garbage so many people deem as attractive and "sexy".

You can find this garbage just about anywhere…the majority of today's hit music is laced with lust and the tempting nature of the darker side of what some will call love, when it is really nothing more than greed and lust controlling us…Today's "fashion" is commonly seen as either being easy access to the genitals, or wearing hardly anything at all…movies like "Twilight" depict a romanticized psychologically abusive relationship, and shows like "16 & Pregnant" glorify the unprepared and ill-mannered fools that forgot what a condom was…Teen Pregnancy is wrong, until you can get on TV and be paid for it…all these things…these atrocities are doing nothing but dumbing us down into the mindless, hairless apes that the Devil once accused us of being. And from a more scientific perspective, it can simply be said that this travesty has biologically corrupted us. Porn addicts and compulsive-lying teenagers are only the beginning of this plague. And the worst part is that for the most part, we're just allowing it too happen because we hardly think anything of it... It can be said that the number of sex crimes and abusive relationships will only continue to grow unless something is done.

I just hate that everything has to be about sex these days...and as a media student, I'm shown even more of what audiences don't even realize they're being submitted to. Sex and relationships are supposed to be sacred and beautiful things between two individuals that love one another. I know that I'm a guy, therefore I'm not exactly one to talk in matters of lust. But in my finest moments of clarity, my faith allows me to see that many things need to change...sadly they probably won't given that society has pretty much always been this way. It just saddens me when beautiful things that God has blessed us with, are so swiftly degraded into nothing more than glorified sin and conformity. I believe that I've written on this matter a few times before, but I feel that both as a male and a Christian, that I should tske the opportunity to try to voice my opinion based off my faith, my experience and even my continuing education in the matter. I pray that God guides us as a people, regardless of borders to a way that glorifies beauty and dignity rather than pleasure and needless desire...

I can certainly agree with that. It's pretty amazing just how bad it is.
It's painful for young Christians too especially. I know myself and many other struggle with lust and when no matter where you turn you're finding something like that, it's just frustrating.
There's things that I still have yet to understand when it comes to what I believe in but this I can recognize. I think the saddest part though is that it's so far a long that it's unlikely we'll be able to fully change how our society has become.
