Fallen From On High
Embrace sweet calamity,
The darkness which engulfs you now.
Apollyon, of that intrepid verse,
Now awaits, drooling with a gaping mouth.
Of temptation, the liars tongue,
Striking up the deals that bring you only to ruin
Just below, Tartarus waits for you...
And the patient welcoming shall be of no surprise.
Embrace now, bitter calamity...
The retribution that has longed for thy touch.
The clustered storm, prolonged, procrastinated,
hovers over to knock you down.
The portal, that vortex, to plunge you down.
Have you to own, no peace...
only what is allowed to your filthy hands...
that bitter...sweet...calamity...
Celtic Harp!Look to hollow, moss grows green
There stands harp that's never seen
Strings vibrate, luminous glow
Waiting for Harpist, twilight show.

Sleek Magpie loves shinning things
Runs its beak along strings
Glorious music fills glade
Played with zest for fairy maids.

Dancing  dainty jig this night
Make no noise, they will take flight
High on toes with fluttering wings
Trilling voices, happily sing.

Moments fleeting, soon will end
To fairy homes dancers wend
Illusion  over this moonlit night
Celtic harp removed from sight.

Lord of the Flies
And how divine,
this so sacred line,
between the fly and the swine,
as to live without a spine.
two faced, two timing and far too fine.

To be so astute, in aspect of appearance
and what lack of cerebral activity there is!
For my homily, may the correct allegory be chosen.
As heterodox to your methods are my own.
A metaphor to obliterate your way of life.

The tribal drums beat out the endless protests,
both boar and bug, whose words are but useless jest.
Fire up the mob, to run their way to the empty trough.
Where they find desolation to add to their famine.
Brittle, they scream in the agony the subltely anticipated.

I am abject
*Reflections*In bevelled mirror there is a face
Reflected from an inner eye
Ponders endless questions of love
Love taken for granted passion can die.

Impossible, the thought seems overly loud
Feelings were nurtured with loving care
Treasured moments in book of time
Written on aether,script so fine.

Taken for granted passions embrace
Where two souls meet in perfect place
Words unnecessary hearts do speak
Lovers mute at passions peak.

Mirror reveals never conceals
How time invades all life
Reflected memories a story tell
Impossible to say a final farewell.

The Tears Of The EarthWhat would you do if the world stopped,
Spinning and swirling to a systematic halt?
Would you climb to a mountain majestically high,
Raise your eyes up to the finite electric universe,
And reflect on the redemption of a death so diverse.

Veins line the black with faults of blood,
And I can hear the crazed howls of horror,
Erupt up from the centre of an empty Earth.
Screams swell to scorch the skies above me,
Where sunlight fades to freeze the faces I see.

What would you do if the world finished,
Falling and frolicking to a fatalistic end?
Would you swim to a sea seductively low,
Embrace your demise in that endless dark space,

The sands of time can be unpredictable
But to mold them is impossible
And being let down is typical

I, for one, know what it's like
Having that unrelenting doubt dwell inside
And withstanding all of those tears that aren't dried

With that said
I want to help you, my dear friend
For the hope of happiness is within the reach of your hands

I need to apologize for not always being there
It's because I have my own slate
But now I'm finally here
I'm sorry I'm late

I've been where you are
I've seen what you've seen
And I was able to break through the dark
But I'll go back for you, just to help you believe

I'm A GhostI'm not trying to creep you out or anything,
But I'm a ghost.
When I'm on the phone, I don't say a thing, I just breathe heavily.
And I have to say, I sound heavenly.
It's like I'm singing a symphony, a monotone melody.
But they never answer…it's 'cause I'm a ghost, but I just want to talk, see?

I'm not trying to creep you out or anything,
It just happens 'cause I'm a ghost,
When I run a race there's no point running with haste.
'Cause they run 30% faster when they see my face.
I'm a ghost so the police are always on my case,
Everyday, I'm tangled in an endless car chase.
Everyone hates me 'cause I once cheated in a maze race
The Ravens of ValhallaO’er desolate shores wept the fate of immortal flames
And into a Winter sun I bleed my dreams,
as a thousand years of love & war dressed the sky
Long-ships sailed to the otherworld upon Odin’s breath
Betwixt night and day I wandered, shimmering, peering
— Till my chalice of Dragons blood flowed but no more
I became a warrior lost in the stars, drifting, ever falling,
Until the shadows entombed my soul in Raven-lore

Lo the tempest eerie; ‘magick entwining spirit and flesh
Upon snow I awoke dreary, beneath winged-silhouettes
‘Couldst be, my Princess adored; — last of the Valkyrie!
I recall — myriad of
LoveLOVE
Time froze in that moment
The Earth it ceased to spin
My world simply faded
I felt new life begin
Is the sun still shining?
Are birds still flying free?
Lost in this new wonder
Yours alone the light I see
Eyes that shine with starlight
And moonlight in your hair
Radiant this beauty
To you none can compare
Skin soft as rose petals
There's magic in your touch
Harps I swear are playing
Can one heart love so much?
Come to me my darling
Take this welcoming hand
Hold the soul I give thee
And in fiery love we'll stand
Share with me this moment
Ride on this wondrous flow
On love's mighty river
Such passion we will know
In my arms I'll take you
Deep our  smoldering kiss
Body lost in worship

This in Our Hearts
Faith is not to be governed
by the vile will of you humans.
It is the very pulse of your soul.
The very core of the morality
that drives you.

Like you, it may be tainted & controlled
but only by your given gift of free will
can this take place.

Like light, it holds the power to
guide and to free, just as it holds
The potential to fade away into the darkness.

Like a parasite, can it consume you
but only by the filthy hands
of invited demons.

Faith is both gift & privilege
accepted into heart & mind
by the words of a truthful tongue.

In days to come, shall you hear
the drums of war over & around

An Oath to My FatherAn Oath to My Father:

The chill of winter is nothing, when compared to the cold inside my heart.

A fire, once stoked by the warmth of family, has quietly died, five falls past.

I dream of my father, who watches from beyond the realms - and my ancestors

Who fought against an endless army of giants, to win the lands we have today.

Just as a devout man honours his God through worship, I honour them through my axe!

Each stroke of the whetstone, each screech of the metal, brings me closer to them -

Even as I draw closer to my doom. Oh how I can feel him, for the anger in my blood

Boils evermore as I sense him approaching my camp. He is hun
The Error of My Ways.
Head back
to where the die was cast.
Arise, reluctant to bare witness
to what unfolds.
Back where I believed,
like some arrogant fool,
that the good of the outcome,
outweighed the erroneous methods.
My delusions have turned so vivid
that they become commonplace
with my reality,
running hand in hand
towards my downfall
as a friendly face in the crowd...
That Elated Kiss
Between us both, that kiss of God
From to and upon the souls within the very cores.
The fruit of this knowledge was not ill-gained,
As meant for mine eyes was the gotten teaching.
Ah yes, the inspired motivator amongst my tongue,
Pure, but deadly, as to protect what is owned
By the cavities that contain ours, the beating hearts.
This marathon to & through
which I gladly volunteer to run,
Has my limbs aflame, enthralled with elation,
Striking down to its knees, the very calamity that
once over took me. Bless you, from above,
as from my lips between us both, a kiss from your lover.

Rustling yellow in spring breeze
Should there be an early chill
Abundant beauty under trees.

Stop and wonder at spring time
Joyful feelings reign supreme

Daffodil madness reigns two months
Everywhere flowers bloom
As they wither a certain sadness
Remember Bluebells follow soon.

Winter tempered by vibrant vision
Vision pulsating, joyous spring

Delicate white candy floss clouds,
Crisp green forests no-one's ever seen,
A blazing sun rising over a frostbitten world.

Imagination is
Wishing for things you know you'll never have,
Seeing things that will never exist,
Feeling things that no-one else will ever feel.

Imagination is
Twisted black hands wrapping around your neck,
Skeletons stalking you through a misty forest,
Ghouls ripping out your soul by twilight.

Imagination is
People long gone still lingering in your dreams,
Photographed memories coming to life
An old teddy bear that sings you to sleep.

WrathHate, rage, fury,
whatever it is, it lies within me.
Making me itch, making me hurt,
making me into something I refuse to be.

Betrayed and Bitter, My hate shall be a darker shade of Love.
My benevolence only goes so far, and I have been pushed beyond.

Blood shall never reach their appetites...
They only interfere where they belong.
They live as they pretend to be.
They lie in wait, for oppurtunity.
Unburdened is a Faithful Heart of Honor.
Unmoved is the wise Heart of Honor.
For it is well aware of it's coming Salvation...
They only seek knowledge, and Passion.
They fight for what their mind holds...
For the Mind and Heart go hand in hand,
Like Husband and Wife.

Fading Flickering Faults

The flickering lights,
then dim and faint were they
as the water rose.
joined by the falling drops
from storm descending
down with a lifeless energy.
Upward came each splash,
and back down with a dying sound.
At random was the already spontaneous
of every moment in the life
of every last drop.
So blended now, in the ripples
with the ever uneasy waters.
Like the flickering lights,
did their time become dim and faint.

Often, mental disorders are overlooked or ignored by people who either don't know to look for them in others or they simply chose to look the other way. I chose the picture of the eye for a few reasons:

1. it ties into the "overlooked" part of the message.
2. the falling drops can also be tears.
3. the crying eye can both the victim of the disorder, or a loved one who is helpless to assist.
4. The center is floating in liquid, causing ripples. The ripples in the poem suggest the ups and downs of one's life, and how they may or may not be related to the psychological disorder.


The flickering lights are what little information we truly have on the most severe of disorders, and how potentially vital information is lost everyday by both or either the victim and the loved ones.

Wow what a clever idea. I love it how the iris and pupil are treated almost as a different floating object than the rest of the eye. Also the way the body of water makes it look like the depth of the eye is infinite is amazing. Congratulations on the creation of such an amazing and clever piece!

It looks like GrubbsWriting drew the picture and wrote the poem too... at least that's what the deviation implies. Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't see anything that implies otherwise.
